Business Development Representative
CANADA OR UNITED STATES / SALES / REMOTE - FULL-TIME
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be on the front lines of our sales process responsible for strategically sourcing (outbound) and qualifying sales opportunities at targeted accounts.
This is not your ‘typical large team, follow an existing script, BDR’ role. As Owl’s Business Development team is growing, you will work closely with the marketing and sales teams and use your previous experience to help shape this position for a growing team to further help fuel Owl’s growth. As such, there is significant growth potential for someone in this role.

As a BDR, you will be working with Senior Account Executives and Marketing to strategically target key accounts as well as researching/developing accounts on your own to prospect into (outbound via video, email, phone, & social). You will be conducting high level conversations with Sales and Marketing Executives to drive new business and achieve your monthly quota of qualified sales opportunities.

What we expect from you

Perform daily outreach activities into target accounts

Prospecting new clients and building positive relationships with target brands who would be a fit.

Uncover, qualify, nurture, and schedule at least 10 appointments per month for Sales Executives

Following up with potential clients and scheduling meetings. Comfortable cold calling and in front of the camera.

Managing the preparation of presentation materials

Maintain accurate records of contacts, activities, and results in company CRM system

Presenting our materials and offering to clients over the phone

Ability to adapt to change call approach to achieve results

Miscellaneous tasks such as email campaigns and other tasks.

Your Competencies

Undergraduate Business Degree or equivalent.

Sales focused, previous experience in an inside sales role with proven skills in sales development and execution

Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience within the provider industry (i.e., software as a service)

Solid understanding and experience with the digital marketplace and social media

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Adept at Dynamics CRM is an advantage

Internet and social networking skills an asset (must have a LinkedIn account and be comfortable using it)
